Flik Hospitality Group seeks an Executive Chef in Wayne, NJ to oversee kitchen operations, ensure safety, and lead culinary staff under corporate guidelines. You will plan menus, direct meal prep, and uphold quality, sanitation and cost controls while driving guest satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to train staff, manage inventories, and execute high-volume service in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience is required.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience desired.
• Hands-on chef with strong food presentation skills.
• Knowledge of food cost controls and sanitation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to guidelines.
• Follows recipes, portions and presentation standards; uses production worksheets and waste logs.
• Trains kitchen staff in food prep, safety and sanitation per standards.
• Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory within guidelines and ensures product availability.
• Makes decisions on leftover food utilization per company guidelines.
• Complies with health/sanitation regulations and audits.
• Adheres to safety policies and participates in meetings and professional programs.
