Compass Group USA’s Flik Hospitality division seeks an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations and ensure a safe, sanitary work environment. You will prepare or direct meals following corporate programs and guidelines in this dynamic hospitality setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, menu planning, staff training, and compliance with health regulations, with opportunities to shape culinary programs and drive quality across service lines.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
• Hands-on chef experience a must.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation and food cost controls.
• Experience with computers; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; uses production worksheets and waste logs; tastes meals for quality.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, and sanitation as per standards.
• Establishes cleaning/maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas; ensures schedules are followed.
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies to meet guidelines and availability needs.
• Manages leftovers within company guidelines and compliance with health/sanitation regulations.
• Complies with health and safety regulations and audits; follows safety policies.
