Job summary

Sunset Hills Country Club is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will lead the kitchen team, design menus, control costs, and maintain high standards for member dining and events.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and hospitality knowledge, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and training staff to meet these expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in culinary field is required.
• Minimum 7+ years as chef or sous-chef with leadership experience.
• Excellent menu development and cost-control skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication for staff and members.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day culinary operations and staff training.
• Standardize recipes and plate presentation for a la carte and events.
• Forecast budgets, manage costs and labor, and monitor profitability.
• Hire and develop kitchen personnel; ensure quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with F&B leadership to enhance member dining experience.
