Chartwells K12 in Houston, MS is seeking an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations in a premier K12 school district. You will craft menus, supervise staff, and maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen while delivering high-quality meals.

Reporting to the Director, you will drive culinary standards, train staff, manage inventory, and ensure health compliance. This role calls for an entrepreneurial culinary leader who is passionate about student dining and foodservice excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in culinary arts.
• Two+ years of culinary/kitchen management experience, catering experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of food trends, quality, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and email systems.
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop regular and specialty menus in line with K12 standards and guidelines.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Establish cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas.
• Manage inventory and optimize utilization of food and supplies.
