Chartwells K-12, part of Compass Group USA, seeks an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of our K-12 dining program. This role focuses on delivering high-quality meals, supporting student engagement initiatives, and managing district events with excellence.

You will oversee daily kitchen operations, develop menus, train staff, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards while partnering with district stakeholders to provide outstanding dining experiences for

Qualifications

• Two plus years of culinary/kitchen management experience
• Hands-on chef experience
• Proven ability to manage food quality, safety, and sanitation standards
• Experience in institutional/k-12 foodservice operations is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and email systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily culinary operations for K-12 program
• Develop regular and specialty menus in line with K12 standards
• Train kitchen staff in food prep, equipment operation, and safety
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
• Manage inventory and ensure availability of vital products
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations and audits
• Lead in departmental meetings and staff development
• Support district events and catered functions
