Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking an Executive Chef II for the Residential Dining Hall at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. You will lead culinary operations, drive menu development, and manage budgeting and food cost while mentoring a talented team.

This hands-on leadership role requires a degree or equivalent, several years of kitchen management in high-volume foodservice, and ServSafe certification. Chartwells provides parking, meals, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• A.S. degree or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience in high-volume operations.
• Experience in high-volume, hands-on foodservice operations.
• Must be experienced with computers.
• ServSafe Certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead culinary operations for the Residential Dining Hall at FAU Boca Raton.
• Plan regular and modified menus following guidelines and recipes.
• Supervise and mentor chefs, cooks and team members on food prep and sanitation.
• Manage budgeting, food costing and inventory while ensuring quality.
• Foster client relationships and drive satisfaction and retention.
• Oversee compliance with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
