Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is hiring an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations at Advent Health in Bolingbrook, IL. You will direct meal preparation in line with corporate programs and guidelines, and lead staff training on safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

The role requires strong culinary leadership, high-volume foodservice experience, and familiarity with MS Office; ServSafe certification is highly desirable. This is a hospital foodservice position within the Compass Group USA family.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Experienced with computers; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, e-mail and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and equipment operation; sanitation per standards.
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory to stay within guidelines and ensure availability of products.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
