Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensure safety and sanitation, and direct the preparation of meals in line with corporate programs and guidelines.

This energetic culinary leader will train kitchen staff, manage menus and production, monitor food quality and costs, and collaborate with clients to deliver high‑quality dining experiences in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences
• Hands-on chef experience
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation
• Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email, Internet)

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards with daily production worksheets and waste logs
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, food safety and sanitation
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas
• Maintains inventory to ensure product availability
• Makes decisions on leftover food utilization within company guidelines
• Complies with health, safety and sanitation regulations and audits
• Participates in departmental meetings and staff development
