Compass Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensure a safe, sanitary environment, and direct meal preparation per corporate programs. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic culinary professional with leadership vision.

This role requires hands-on cooking experience, strong food safety awareness, and the ability to lead a high-volume operation with focus on quality, cost controls, and staff development.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent culinary education/experience.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook.
• Willing to participate in client satisfaction programs.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards; uses daily production worksheets and waste logs.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, sanitation per standards.
• Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines.
• Manages leftovers per company guidelines.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Follows safety policies and incident reporting.
• Participates in departmental meetings and staff development.
