Job summary

Compass Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, seeks an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations in a high-volume setting. You will drive menu planning, standardize recipes, ensure quality, and maintain sanitary, compliant operations.

You will mentor staff, manage production, inventory, and cost controls while upholding safety guidelines and corporate programs across facilities. A hands-on leader with culinary vision is essential.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• Experience with high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Hands-on chef experience is required; strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus per guidelines.
• Follows recipes, portioning, production worksheets, and waste logs.
• Trains staff in food prep, safety, equipment use, sanitation.
• Maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and spaces.
• Manages inventory to meet guidelines and availability.
• Decides on leftover food utilization within policy.
• Complies with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Follows safety policies; participates in incidents reporting.
• Attends departmental meetings and staff development programs.
