Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the community dining services, from procurement and preparation to service and budget management. You will hire, train, and supervise the dining team, develop menus, and coordinate special events to meet residents’ preferences and financial targets.

With a focus on excellence and compassionate service, you will ensure health-code compliant operations and high resident satisfaction while driving culinary innovation across the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary education preferred.
• Serve Safe Manager certification and understanding of sanitation codes.
• 5+ years hands-on food preparation experience.
• 3+ years progressive management as Executive Chef; front-of-house knowledge.
• Experience with events and banquet planning is a plus.
• Strong communication, creativity, and resident-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen and dining operations across BOH and FOH.
• Lead staff scheduling, hiring, performance reviews, and corrective actions.
• Plan menus and oversee meal prep, service, and events.
• Maintain inventory and budgets for food, supplies, and labor.
• Ensure compliance with health codes and company standards.
• Collaborate with staff and residents on menus and budgets.
