Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Scottsdale, Arizona, invites a seasoned Executive Chef to lead the community’s dining operations. You will oversee menu development, procurement, meal prep, and service while managing food, supply, and labor budgets and guiding a high-performing kitchen team.

Qualifications

• A Culinary degree is preferred, or a combination of education and experience is required.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in food preparation.
• At least 3 years of progressive management experience as an Executive Chef.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations and staffing of the community kitchen and dining venues.
• Supervise culinary services staff (BOH and FOH), including scheduling, hiring, and performance reviews.
• Plan menus and execute meals and events, supporting front- and back-of-house operations as needed.
• Maintain inventory control of food, beverages, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to health codes and company standards.
• Manage budgets for the culinary services department and document spending.
• Collaborate with staff and residents to tailor recipes and menus within monthly budgets.
• Aim for high resident and family satisfaction with dining experiences.
• Plan and execute special events and themed meals.
