Job summary

otterbein seeks an Executive Chef to lead a full-service kitchen in a senior living community, directing cooks and wait staff to deliver three meals daily and specialty dining experiences. The role oversees inventory, menu planning, sanitation, and safety, coordinating with the Associate Director of Dining Services for efficient operations and high-quality resident meals.

Candidates should have Serv-Safe certification, five years of dining experience, and a commitment to serving a senior

Qualifications

• Experience with budget control and stock management.
• Strong supervisory and training capabilities.
• Flexible schedule and hours.
• Enjoy working with the senior population.
• Pass a physical, background check and drug test.
• High School diploma or GED plus Serv-Safe certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily menus/recipes and manage tasks.
• Supervise kitchen personnel with the Director of Food & Beverage.
• Oversee daily kitchen operation and quality for independent living.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Assist with set-up, service and clean-up of production.
• Lift 5–20 lbs alone, up to 50 lbs with assistance.
