Job summary

Alignment Health seeks an AVP of Accounting & SEC Reporting to lead the company’s external financial reporting and ensure GAAP compliance across a multi-entity organization. You will oversee filings, disclosures, and technical accounting matters with a focus on accuracy and transparency.

You will partner with the CAO, external auditors, and cross-functional leaders to maintain strong internal controls, execute complex accounting assessments, and deliver audit-ready documentation for SEC filings.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• 8+ years of public accounting with a technical accounting background.
• CPA license and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and filing of external reporting deliverables (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and footnotes.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, Reg S-X/S-K, and related guidance.
• Coordinate reporting timelines with internal partners and external auditors.
• Serve as technical accounting authority on complex transactions (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805).
• Partner with internal and external auditors on controls testing and documentation.
