Job summary

The University of Maryland School of Social Work (UMB) seeks an Associate Dean for Administration and Finance to lead business operations, budgeting, accounting, HR, research administration, and facilities. This role partners with senior leaders to support the School's mission and ensure compliant, efficient operations.

Ideal candidate has a Master’s in finance, business or public administration, with at least 12 years of relevant experience and 5 years in senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, business administration, public administration, accounting or related field is required.
• A minimum of twelve (12) years of progressive experience in relevant functions.
• Five (5) years of supervisory/leadership experience at a strategic level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor budget and financial controls for the School.
• Oversee budgeting, accounting, procurement, risk and asset management.
• Lead HR operations, facilities management, and compliance with policies.
• Provide financial analysis and KPI reporting to School leadership and USM officials.
• Serve as a strategic partner to senior School and Campus leaders to advance the mission.
