Job summary

University of Maryland, Baltimore is seeking an Associate Dean for Administration and Finance to lead business operations for the School of Social Work. The role reports to the Dean and provides strategic budgeting, accounting, HR, and facilities oversight across the School.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 12 years of progressive leadership experience, including 5 years in a senior role as a strategic partner to a CEO or leadership team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance, business administration, public administration, accounting or a related field is required.
• A minimum of twelve (12) years spent progressively building a background in the various departmental functions.
• Five (5) years of supervisory/leadership experience at a management level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procedures, processes, and disciplines fundamental to maintaining solid control within a decentralized environment.
• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, accounting, procurement, risk management, and asset management.
• Provide financial information to ensure statutory compliance and decision making by university officials.
• Oversee facilities management and safety across School buildings.
