Job summary

University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) seeks an Associate or Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Finance & COO to lead the School of Pharmacy’s operations.

This executive will drive day-to-day leadership across finance, HR, IT, and facilities while partnering with the Dean and faculty to advance education, research, and service missions through strong stewardship and strategic resource management.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field.
• 12+ years of leadership, management, and administration in finance/operations.
• 6+ years of senior management with staff development; compliance and ethics requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and strategic planning for the School.
• Lead finance, HR, IT, and facilities operations with strong internal controls.
• Develop revenue opportunities and long-range financial planning.
• Oversee all-funds budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and year-end close.
• Advise Dean and collaborate with faculty and administration.
• Recruit and develop high-performing administrative teams.
