The role requires discretion, outstanding written communication, and the ability to manage high-priority calendars and travel arrangements with minimal supervision. You will prepare board materials, coordinate meetings, and serve as a trusted liaison to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of executive support experience.
  • Directly supporting a CEO or other C‑suite executive is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative support to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
  • Prepare executive correspondence, reports, presentations, board materials, and business documents.
  • Coordinate board meetings, including agenda preparation, logistics, materials distribution and follow-up.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for board members, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
  • Track action items and ensure timely completion of assignments and deliverables.
  • Assist with executive presentations, slide decks, proposals, and special projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
  • Anticipate executive needs and resolve issues with minimal direction.

Executive Assistant to the CEO
Location: Houston, Texas 77054 (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Type: 30-Day Contract (Potential for Extension or Conversion)

Our client is seeking an experienced, highly polished Executive Assistant to provide direct support to the Chief Executive Officer. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, managing executive priorities, coordinating board and leadership activities, and ensuring seamless day-to-day executive operations.

The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and capable of operating independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. This role requires professionalism, discretion, strong written communication skills, and the ability to anticipate needs while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct administrative support to the CEO and executive leadership team.
  • Manage complex calendars, scheduling, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
  • Prepare executive correspondence, reports, presentations, board materials, and business documents.
  • Coordinate board meetings, including agenda preparation, meeting logistics, materials distribution, and follow-up activities.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of Executive Assistant, Executive Office, or senior administrative support experience.
  • Prior experience directly supporting a CEO, President, Executive Director, or other C-suite executive.
  • Experience coordinating board meetings and supporting executive leadership and board members.
  • Strong calendar management, scheduling, meeting coordination, and executive support skills.
  • Advanced proficiency preparing presentations, executive correspondence, reports, and business documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to independently prioritize workload and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience within nonprofit organizations, community services, housing authorities, education, government, or quasi-government entities.
  • Prior experience supporting executive leadership in mission-driven organizations.
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors and executive committees.

Pay Details

$27.00 to $30.00 per hour
