Valley Christian Schools (VCS) is seeking a long-term temporary Executive Assistant to support the Superintendent of Schools and Board of Directors. The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and Board serves an important ministry and leadership-support role within Valley Christian Schools. (S)He actively supports the mission of VCS through personal Christian faith, Christ-centered service, prayerful discernment, hospitality, integrity, and care for people and the institution.
As a trusted partner to the Superintendent and Board of Directors, the Executive Assistant helps steward the Superintendent's time, attention, relationships, responsibilities, and priorities by proactively managing the Superintendent's calendar; organizing meetings with agendas, background information, documents, correspondence, and logistical details; drafting, proofreading, organizing, and sending professional, mission-aligned communications on behalf of the Superintendent and the Board; serving as a welcoming and responsive presence for the Superintendent's office, providing Christian hospitality to students, families, employees, Board members, and visitors; and participating appropriately in the spiritual life of VCS, including prayer, worship, devotions, and Christian fellowship. Through proactive organization, communication, coordination, and follow-through, the Executive Assistant helps ensure that the Superintendent's office and the work of the Board operate with excellence, responsiveness, and Christ-centered care.
