Job summary

Valley Christian Schools is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain buildings and grounds, operate equipment, and support event setups across campuses. Responsibilities include repairs, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and cleaning to ensure safe, clean facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years facilities maintenance experience.
• Valid CA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain school facilities and grounds.
• Install door locks, light bulbs, drinking fountains.
• Perform carpentry and painting tasks.
• Mow, trim, fertilize lawns; prune trees and shrubs.
• Clean and disinfect classrooms, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens.
• Clean, fuel, and maintain buses and equipment.
• Set up and tear down events.
• Operate light motorized equipment and hand tools.
• Crossing Guard duties as assigned.
• Perform heavy manual labor (lift 50+ lbs).

Facilities Maintenance TechnicianValley Christian Schools is seeking a F/T Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide various maintenance and custodian services. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities Maintenance & Transportation the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and overall cleanliness of assigned buildings, floors, equipment, buses, and facilities including, but not limited to, general maintenance and repair of facilities, grounds, and equipment; cleaning and disinfecting classrooms, hallways, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor grounds; moving furniture; setting up for events; maintenance and care of buildings and grounds; and care and maintenance of buses, carts, and other equipment.Responsibilities Include:Repair and maintain the buildings and grounds on all VCS campusesRepair and/or install door locks, light bulbs, drinking fountains/faucets, cabinet knobs, etc.Perform carpentry and painting dutiesMow, trim, and fertilize lawns; prune trees and shrubsPerform simple electrical and plumbing repairsCleaning, fueling, and maintenance of school buses and other equipmentEvent setups/teardowns (chair, tables, etc.)Cleaning and disinfecting classrooms, hallways, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor groundsPerform heavy manual labor- must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds regularlyCrossing Guard duties as assignedOther duties as assigned by supervisorBenefits Include:403(b) retirement plan with matching employer contributionsTuition Discounts & ReimbursementPaid Vacation Days and Sick TimeUp to 17 paid holidaysPay Range- $18.93 to $29.11 per hourFor consideration, applicants must be willing to complete a LiveScan/ fingerprinting and a drug screen.
