Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Vice President for AI Security and Data Protection Governance and Controls to establish enterprise governance, embed security-by-design, and drive measurable remediation programs across platforms and third‑party services.

You will partner across Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and business units to translate strategy into policy, standards, and controls, while leading a team responsible for governance, risk assessment, and program

Qualifications

• Degree required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, AI Security and Data Protection, or a related discipline.
• Years of experience: 10+ years in cybersecurity, AI security, data protection, security architecture, technology risk, or control governance.
• Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, cloud security, or comparable certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise governance framework for AI security and data protection.
• Govern discovery, inventory, classification, and risk assessment of AI models and data assets.
• Define risk-based prioritization criteria using data sensitivity and business criticality.
• Design minimum control requirements, testing procedures, and remediation expectations across platforms.
• Oversee roadmap for transitioning to secure technologies and control solutions.
• Partner with Security Architecture and Engineering to embed secure design principles.
• Define due-diligence criteria for third-party products and vendors.
• Serve as subject-matter authority for AI security and data protection governance to leadership and regulators.
• Establish dashboards and KPIs for risk exposure and control compliance.
• Lead and develop a cross-functional governance team.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, AI Security and Data Protection, or a related discipline
