Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking a Vice President, AI Security Architecture to lead secure architecture patterns for AI/ML across the enterprise. You will partner with engineering, product security, data and risk teams to ensure AI capabilities are secure by design and compliant.

You will define reference architectures, standards, guardrails, and architectural decision criteria while conducting AI-focused threat modeling and early reviews to minimize risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, including architecture, cloud security or security engineering.
• CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure architecture patterns for AI/ML and generative AI systems.
• Define and maintain enterprise AI security reference architectures, standards, guardrails, and decision criteria.
• Lead architecture reviews ensuring security, privacy, resilience, and control requirements are included early.
• Perform AI-focused threat modeling across models, data flows, platforms, integrations, and user interactions.
• Translate risks into practical security requirements, mitigation strategies, and controls.
• Embed AI security controls into DevSecOps, model development, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
• Provide architecture oversight for AI tools, services, and use cases.
• Ensure AI security designs align with internal policies and external standards (NIST, ISO, FFIEC).
• Support risk, audit, compliance, and incident management with clear documentation.
• Communicate technical risks and recommendations to engineering and leadership.
• Mentor architects and promote knowledge sharing.
