Job summary

State Street is seeking a Vice President for AI Security and Data Protection Governance and Controls. You will report to the Managing Director, Data Protection, and establish an enterprise governance framework for secure AI and data protection capabilities.

You will partner across Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement to embed security-by-design and resilient controls across enterprise platforms and third-party services.

Qualifications

• Degree in information security, CS, or related field.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, AI security or data protection governance.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP preferred.
• Experience with enterprise security policies, governance and controls.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise governance framework for AI security and data protection.
• Govern discovery, inventory, classification, and risk assessment of AI models and data assets.
• Define risk-based prioritization criteria using data sensitivity and criticality.
• Design minimum control requirements and remediation expectations across platforms.
• Lead governance roadmap for secure tech transitions and control solutions.
• Embed security-by-design into solution architecture and engineering standards.
• Set due-diligence criteria for third-party products and cloud services.
• Act as SME for AI security governance with senior leadership and regulators.
• Develop dashboards and KRIs for risk exposure and control compliance.
• Lead and develop a cross-functional governance team.
