Job summary

State Street is seeking a Vice President of AI Security Architecture to lead secure architecture patterns across AI/ML initiatives. You will partner with engineering, product security, data and risk teams to ensure secure-by-design AI capabilities aligned with regulatory expectations.

You will translate risks into practical security requirements, drive risk-based architecture decisions, and mentor teams while advancing enterprise AI security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity with security architecture experience.
• Certifications such as CISSP/CCSP/CSSLP preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures; AI/ML platforms; APIs; data pipelines; DevSecOps/CI/CD; threat modeling; security testing; IAM; data protection; logging and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure architecture patterns for AI/ML systems and AI-enabled apps.
• Define enterprise AI security reference architectures, standards and guardrails.
• Lead architecture reviews ensuring security, privacy, resilience, and control requirements.
• Perform AI-focused threat modeling across models, data flows, and integrations.
• Translate risks into practical security requirements and controls.
• Embed AI security across development, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
• Develop validation criteria and repeatable assurance patterns for AI platforms and services.
• Provide architecture oversight for internal AI tools and developer productivity solutions.
• Ensure designs align with NIST/ISO/FFIEC and regulatory expectations.
• Document architecture decisions and remediation actions for risk, audit, and incident management.
• Communicate risks and recommendations to leadership and engineering teams.
• Mentor architects and promote knowledge sharing.
