Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy equipment at a recycling facility, landfill or transfer station, performing loading, spreading and compacting of waste or soil.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-operation inspections, monitoring for unsafe waste, and reporting repairs while upholding safety policies; two years of heavy equipment experience and OSHA site exposure required.

Qualifications

• Two years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures.

• Reliable and able to meet work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and ensure equipment readiness.
• Perform minor servicing and report repairs as needed.
• Complete equipment condition reports and follow safety policies.
