Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) in Rancho Bernardo, CA, seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead EWIS design and integration for high‑power aerospace systems. You will guide ECAD/MCAD teams and drive technical leadership across product lines.

You will report to the Director of Electrical Technologies and coordinate with cross‑functional groups to meet ambitious schedules and performance targets for defense and space applications.

Qualifications

• EWIS cable and harness design for high-reliability aerospace and space systems.
• ECAD/MCAD design tools used in cross-functional environment.
• IPC-WHMA-620 Space Addendum knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with mixed-signal (analog/digital) interconnect design.
• Understanding DoD technical review processes (SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR).

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and drive engineering unit performance across project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with program managers and executives to set technical, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Lead design, integration and testing of electrical systems for product lines and technology areas.
• Develop and validate design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for R&D and new products.
• Interface with suppliers, vendors and customers to resolve issues and share information.
