Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead EWIS design for high-power aerospace and space systems. You will drive concept development, integration, and testing of electrical architectures across multiple product lines, collaborating with internal and external partners.

The role requires 9+ years in engineering, DoD Top Secret eligibility, and strong leadership in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level or higher in engineering; 9+ years of complex engineering experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance.
EWIS cable/harness design for aerospace/space applications required.
Cross-functional systems design in complex projects; IPC-WHMA-620 Space Addendum familiarity.
Strong communication and leadership in a cross-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and technically lead an engineering unit through all project phases.
Develop and implement long-term technical, schedule, quality, and financial objectives.
Design, integrate, and test electrical systems and wiring for product lines and technology areas.
Coordinate design concepts and criteria, and share information with suppliers and customers.
Prepare proposals, budgets, and statements of work; manage technical effort schedules.
Identify issues and lead resource reallocation or specification changes.
Lead development of new business opportunities and expansions.
