Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering for EW to provide strategic oversight and lead the manufacturing engineering function in a fast-paced, resource-constrained defense environment. You will guide the development and scaling of high-quality electromechanical hardware, ensuring rigorous processes and capacity delivery.

You will drive automation, DFx implementation, and cross-functional collaboration with Design, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to accelerate

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related field.
10+ years in manufacturing engineering and operations; 5+ years in leadership.
Experience owning manufacturing value chains for complex electromechanical hardware (defense/aerospace preferred).
Strong make-vs-buy, contract manufacturer management, and supplier development skills.
Experience with NPI and scaling production in high-growth, fast timelines.
Ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments.
Experience bringing up assembly operations including PCBA, harness, RF hardware.
Knowledge of automation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and digital manufacturing tools.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the Manufacturing Engineering team with cross-functional expertise.
Develop and implement a long-term manufacturing strategy aligned with EW growth.
Lead New Product Introduction with Design for Manufacturability focus.
Scale production capability and optimize supply chain, production, and test processes.
Drive continuous improvement, quality, and cost reductions across the value chain.
Own the manufacturing value chain from tool design to vendor sourcing and quality planning.
Manage budgets, staffing, and capital equipment for rapid scaling, including classified production.
Define cross-functional workflows with Design, Supply Chain, Quality and Production teams.
