EVT Certified Mechanic

Transdev in Florence County is seeking an experienced EVT Certified Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour
  • Vacation: 2 weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify and repair engine issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, overhaul, and rebuild engine components to required specifications.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of mechanic experience.
  • ASE certifications required (program provided by Transdev).
  • Mechanic's tool set proficiency.
Physical Requirements
  • Push, pull, lift objects up to 50 lbs.; bend, kneel, crouch as needed.
  • Work in heavy traffic areas; tolerate dust, fumes, and noise.
