Job summary

A leading transportation service provider in Colorado is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in automotive or diesel repair, a valid CDL Class B, and must be willing to obtain ASE certifications. Transdev in Summit County, CO is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

  • An additional $0.25/hr for each ASE Certification you possess or obtain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions, and other repairs.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately.
  • Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement required (or must be obtained within 90 days of Employment).
  • At least 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience.
  • Mechanic’s toolset.
  • ASE certifications required. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided).
  • Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, works alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
