Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician B - (II) in Knoxville, TN to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of engines across vehicles and equipment. You will perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and support senior mechanics while ensuring safety and reliability of our fleets.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
  • Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
  • Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Other duties as required.

Maintenance Technician B - (II)

Transdev in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $23.00/hr – maximum $28.50/hr

Qualifications

  • Mechanic’s Tool Set
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
