Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an EVS Technician for the first shift in Illinois. You will perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, and common areas, comply with infection prevention standards, and maintain supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months as EVS Tech 1 or Tech 2
• C.H.E.S.T. Certification within 90 days if promoted from Level 1

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, and floors.
• Adhere to organizational policies and infection prevention standards.
• Maintain EVS closet and equipment and report hazards to supervisor.
• Replenish paper, soap supplies, and hand sanitizer.
• Assist with scheduling and project work and train partners as needed.
• Pass ATP testing and participate in ongoing training.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
