Mercyhealth is hiring for an Environmental Services position in Illinois. The role covers total sanitation, patient room preparation, and routine floor care, with a 40-hour work week on day shifts.

Responsibilities include thorough cleaning, adherence to infection prevention standards, proper chemical handling, equipment maintenance, and coordination of special projects. EPIC bed tracking and Xenex UV cleaning are part of the workflow where available.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.

Responsabilités

• Thoroughly clean assigned areas: furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors, showers.
• Dust high and low, mop floors, clean doors, vents and carpets.
• Adhere to policies and isolation procedures; practice infection prevention standards.
• Maintain EVS closet, cart and equipment; report hazards.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely; follow chemical dilution guidelines.
• Coordinate special projects and notify affected departments of upcoming work.
• Move furniture and supplies safely; seek assistance when needed.
• Log into EPIC, respond to calls within 5 minutes, and ensure beds are ready for next patient.
• Use Xenex UV Light robot where available; dispose of waste properly.
