Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms and common areas, maintain supplies, and assist with project work. Flexibility to support various departments and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Minimum six (6) months as EVS Tech 1 or Tech 2.
• C.H.E.S.T. Certification within 90 days if promoted from Level 1.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for thorough cleaning of assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, mirrors, showers, etc.
• Adheres to all organizational policies and infection prevention standards.
• Maintains EVS closet and equipment; reports safety hazards and equipment needs to supervisor.
