Resorts World NYC invites applications for an EVS/Stewarding Floor Manager in Jamaica, NY. You will assist the EVS/Stewarding Manager in day-to-day operations, planning resources, and overseeing the environmental services and stewarding departments to uphold service and cleanliness standards.

The role requires strong communication, organizational and leadership skills, with experience in housekeeping/maintenance management.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma
• Associates degree in related field with two years’ management experience OR two years as Floor Manager at Resorts World
• Three years’ related management experience in Housekeeping/Maintenance
• Superior written and verbal communication skills required
• Thorough working knowledge of chemicals and equipment used by the department
• Ability to understand and read chemical SDS paperwork
• Excellent planning, organizational, verbal communication and delegation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
• Ability to work long hours including weekends and holidays frequently

Responsibilities

• Supervises EVS Supervisors, Public area Cleaners and Heavy Duty Cleaners ensuring facility cleanliness per standards
• Conducts pre-shifts and trainings for new information, policies and procedures
• Supervise staff, including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and administers disciplinary actions
• Monitors and maintains employee time cards and attendance
• Ensures staff are trained to work safely per regulatory guidelines
• Evaluates and adjusts shift schedules to meet operations
• Performs daily inspections and submits inspection reports
• Prepares, maintains and submits essential reports
• Works independently and supports management
• All other duties as assigned
