Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Housekeeping EVS Lead for the Evening shift. The role entails leading environmental services staff, coordinating cleaning of patient rooms and common areas, and training new hires while ensuring top-notch facility appearance.

You may handle morgue or COVID-19 unit areas and must pass background checks and drug screening. Flu vaccine required for all Banner Health employees.

Qualifications

• Leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Experience in healthcare environmental services or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures staffing plans are carried out properly and hospital areas are staffed appropriately.
• Performs cleaning in patient rooms, specialty areas and common areas.
• Trains and develops Environmental Services staff; coordinates on-the-job training and performance evaluations.
• Supervises staff in absence of the EVS leader; assigns staff to areas as needed.
• Assists with Quality Assurance inspections to address deficiencies.
• Distributes linens and supplies; takes inventories in assigned areas.
• Oversees daily activities of a team and coordinates cleaning projects.
