Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Housekeeping EVS Associate to keep patient areas clean, sanitized and presentable. You will clean, disinfect and maintain hospital spaces in a fast-paced environment, often walking long distances and pushing a cleaning cart.

The role may involve morgue or Infectious Disease Unit areas and requires effective communication with medical staff. The position runs 3PM–11:30PM, full-time 40 hours per week, with weekend/holiday rotations and shift

Qualifications

Must be able to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally.
Must interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for certain Banner Health facilities at hire and maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning tasks: dusting, mopping, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing per policy.
Empties hampers, transports soiled linen, trash, and medical waste.
Restocks supplies (toilet tissue, towels, soap) in assigned areas.
Maintains cleanliness of equipment and logs usage; reports repairs.
May perform special projects like windows/wall cleaning or removing heavily soiled items.
Responds to questions from patients, staff, and visitors; strives for high customer service satisfaction.
