Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Housekeeping EVS Associate for Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ. You will clean, sanitize, and maintain patient areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

This role may involve morgue or COVID unit cleanup and requires handling cleaning chemicals with care. The position is full-time, daytime hours, with weekend and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally.
• Must be able to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning of patient rooms and assigned areas.
• Maintains cleanliness of equipment and supplies.
• Empties hampers, trash, and medical waste containers.
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely and follows department procedures.
• May clean morgue or COVID-19 unit areas as assigned.
