Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector seeks a Principal Tooling Engineer 2/3 with EVMS background to support our Rocket Center, West Virginia site. On-site role with no remote work.

Primary duties include tooling design, CAM/EVMS coordination, and manufacturing process improvements for cost and schedule objectives. Qualifications include a Level 2/3 engineering degree with CAM certification and DOE Secret Clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Level 2 requires bachelor’s + 2 years experience; CAM certification.
• Level 3 requires bachelor’s + 5 years or master + 3 years or PhD + 1 year; CAM certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, internal and external.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure form/fit/function.
• Assist Product Development Team with new designs for manufacturability and validation.
• Manage all phases of a project: design, document, fabricate, assemble and validate.
• Interface with review team to ensure customer satisfaction with design.
• Work with manufacturing to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Develop tooling concepts and review/improve processes to meet requirements.
