Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Tooling Engineer 2/3 for our Rocket Center, WV site. On-site role with no remote work, focusing on coordinating tool/design requirements and ensuring manufacturability for new and existing programs.

The engineer will analyze tolerance, investigate root causes, and drive improvements across tooling processes, collaborating with the Product Development and Manufacturing teams to meet cost, schedule, and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Level 2: Bachelor’s STEM Degree with 2 years of experience.
• Level 3: Bachelor’s STEM Degree with 5 years of experience.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, internal and external.
• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure form/fit/function.
• Conduct root cause failure investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and evaluate process improvements.
• Assist Product Development Team with new designs to ensure manufacturability.
