Job summary

Town of Fairfield, CT is seeking an Event Host to assist with the preparation, execution and close-out of seasonal events at The Pavilions at Penfield Beach, including the Penfield and Jacky Durrell Pavilion. The role supports event operations through staff supervision, facility setup and breakdown, and on-site customer service to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patrons.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Seasonal position with evenings, weekends, and peak event periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onsite event support including setup and breakdown of tables and chairs.
• Oversee pavilion operations during events to ensure proper use and safety.
• Provide customer service to clients and prospective clients at events.
• Liaise with vendors, caterers, and staff to support event delivery.
• Maintain inventory and assist with supplies and closing procedures.
• Prepare written reports on incidents or accidents as required.
