The Town of Fairfield seeks an Event Host to assist with preparation, execution and close-out of events at the Penfield Beach pavilions. You’ll support event operations, supervise staff, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patrons.
The role requires evenings, weekends and peak periods; primary duties include on-site customer service, setting up and breaking down event spaces, coordinating with vendors, and enforcing park policies.
This class is accountable for assisting with the preparation, execution and close-out of special events at The Pavilions at Penfield Beach, including our Penfield and Jacky Durrell Pavilion. The Event Manager supports event operations through staff supervision, facility setup and breakdown, on-site oversight during events, customer service and enforcement of Parks & Recreation policies to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for all patrons. This is a seasonal position with work primarily occurring during evenings, weekends and peak event periods.
Receives administrative direction from Event Manager, Recreation Coordinators, the Director of Parks & Recreation, or their designee.
May supervise or lead temporary or lower-level staff as assigned.
