Job summary

Michaels in Charlotte, NC is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events, including children’s parties. You’ll deliver friendly customer service, support checkout, and help with merchandising and store recovery.

Responsibilities include engaging guests of all ages, enrolling customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, handling communications, and maintaining safety and cleanliness standards during events.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably retail or events.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan and run group activities for all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events and craft classes in-store.
• Assist customers, run checkouts, and support store operations.
• Enroll customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Handle emails and calls to keep events running smoothly.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety during events.
