Job summary

Bright in Austin, TX is seeking a Dispatch Associate to keep deliveries on track by routing jobs, supporting drivers and crews, and addressing issues as they arise. Using GPS and routing software, you will plan routes that meet client needs and safety policies.

You will stay in constant communication with drivers and clients, assist the sales team with inquiries, and build professional relationships through dependable, proactive service in a fast-paced events environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, accurate and efficient.
• Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management.
• Familiarity with GPS software applications.
• Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication; able to work with diverse personalities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Open availability to meet the demands of the business, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage the work of the drivers and operations team to ensure work is accomplished per safety requirements.
• Assist with planning routes for jobs and crews using GPS software to comply with client needs, safety policies, and efficiency.
• Provide timely responses to emails, calls, and requests.
• Clearly communicate with clients in time-sensitive situations and support the sales team with inquiries.
• Collaborate with drivers and crew to relay urgent requests and resolve delivery issues.
• Multi-task last-minute requests alongside established routes for the day.
• Explain the proper use of equipment to team members and clients.
• Build professional relationships with drivers, leading by example with energy and dependability.
