Job summary

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish, ME is hiring an Assistant Director of Events to lead the Stone Barn events, coordinating timelines, setup plans, floorplans, and related logistics.

You will manage on-site operations, coordinate with food service for catering, supervise staff, and serve as the liaison between clients and the events team to ensure profitable margins and outstanding customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in hospitality, sales, or business.
• Minimum 2 years’ hospitality experience with administrative and service responsibilities.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certification required.
• Valid driver's license, driver training, and acceptable MVRO.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate oversight of Stone Barn events, including timelines, packing sheets, setup, and floorplans.
• Provide on-site logistics coordination with internal and external contacts; handle procurement, delivery, and billing.
• Oversee setup and breakdown; open and close facilities for each event.
• Coordinate with food service to ensure menus, setup, and staffing for catered events.
