Job summary

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine is seeking an Assistant Director of Events to support the Conference and Events Division, overseeing Stone Barn and on-campus events and serving as the department ambassador.

The role will act as the primary administrator of the events software, coordinate timelines, floorplans, staffing and vendor communications, and ensure exceptional guest experiences and profitable margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent hospitality experience.
• Two+ years in hospitality with admin and service responsibilities.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Stone Barn events timelines, floorplans, and logistics.
• Coordinate on-site logistics with internal and external contacts.
• Manage event setup/breakdown, access, and staffing.
• Ensure high-quality guest experience and profitable margins.
• Supervise event staff and enforce service standards.
