Job summary

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Standish, ME is seeking an Operations and Beverage Coordinator to support the Events & Conferences Department. The role involves developing a comprehensive beverage program for college events and serving as Bar Program Coordinator for Stone Barn events.

You will design menus, oversee bar operations, train staff, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate with clients to deliver exceptional hospitality while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of High school/GED and 3-5 years administrative experience within a customer-service environment.
• Proven experience as a Beverage Manager or similar role within the foodservice industry.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certification required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, complete a driver training program and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Responsibilities

• Develop beverage program including alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for the College’s concept and target market.
• Design and update beverage menus considering trends, preferences and profitability.
• Oversee bar operations ensuring efficient service and safety standards.
• Coordinate event bar staff and training; manage invoicing and contracts for events.
• Build relationships with vendors, distributors, and clients to high standards.
• Create systems, menus and protocols to maximize operations and efficiency.
• Elevate bar program annually to meet projections and client needs.
