Job summary

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine is seeking an Operations and Beverage Coordinator to support the Events & Conferences Department. The role focuses on developing a beverage program for Stone Barn events, coordinating bar staff, and delivering exceptional hospitality for weddings and other gatherings.

You will handle event logistics, menus, invoicing, and client communications while ensuring safety and quality standards across all service instances. A background in beverage operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or combination of High school/GED and 3-5 years administrative experience within a customer-service environment.
• Proven experience as a Beverage Manager or similar role within the foodservice industry.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certification required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive beverage program for Stone Barn events.
• Design and update beverage menus considering trends and profitability.
• Oversee bar operations, ensuring quality and safety.
• Coordinate event bar staff scheduling and training.
• Collaborate with sales team for wedding and event bar needs.
• Provide operational support for campus events including invoicing and contracts.
