Job description

Are you looking for a new role in the hotel industry where you can showcase your event skills to assist and attract more guests? Our busy hotel is seeking an Event Coordinator who is dedicated to customer satisfaction and providing an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond to guest inquiries, contact potential new guests, and assist with the operations of various events at the property.
  2. Greet guests warmly, efficiently check them in and out, and handle reservations, room assignments, and billing professionally.
  3. Address guest requests and complaints promptly, escalating issues as needed, and maintain accurate records in the hotel management system.
  4. Assist in creating and executing groups, weddings, and events, coordinating with all departments for smooth operations.
  5. Develop relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote event opportunities and follow up post-event for feedback.
  6. Make and serve handcrafted cocktails and bar food, and prepare food for breakfast, evening menus, and bar service.
  7. Maintain cleanliness in all areas including the lodge, bathrooms, bar, and kitchen.
  8. Establish and maintain communication with customers via phone and email to answer inquiries and requests.
Qualifications
  1. Experience in group coordination or event management.
  2. Knowledge of local attractions and venues for group planning.
  3. High school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  4. Flexible schedule to accommodate events at the property.
  5. Effective communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Compensation: $20 - $22 hourly
