Now Hiring: Event Coordinator (Seasonal – Remote or Local)
Part-Time Contract | Special Strong Champions Foundation, Inc.

Special Strong Champions Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is hiring a part-time, seasonal, project-based Event Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of the 2025 Special Strong Games—a signature athletic event for individuals with special needs.

Hours: Flexible, 10–20 hours per week
Location: Remote or local (DFW-based preferred)
Required Availability: Must attend the Special Strong Games on September 27th, 2025, in DFW, Texas (travel expenses covered)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all planning and coordination for the Special Strong Games

  • Host team meetings with staff, volunteers, and partners

  • Secure donations, sponsors, and volunteers

  • Find and secure the event venue

  • Manage athlete and volunteer registration and communication

  • Track timelines, budgets, and deliverables

  • Provide regular progress updates

  • Create and manage the live event run-of-show

  • Coordinate vendors and logistics

  • Serve as the event’s live host with energy and professionalism

  • Support other nonprofit event needs as assigned

Compensation:
Project-based pay with bonus opportunities tied to the event’s success.
